Ekam Foundation has set up “Help Desk” at Govt., Maternity Hospital, Sultan Bazaar, Koti in August 2017 to look after the special needs of disadvantaged groups and provides individual attention and personalized services. It also empowers the public with information and guidance for exercising their rights & duties.
Help Desk team is be available from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at facility. The first half day team is in the OP block and the next half day team goes to IP wards to give counselling to patients. Every day, on an average about 200 patient queries are answered at OP block and counselling is provided to about 35 patients. Ekam team also conducted a three-day workshop on Change Management for staff.

No child should be denied the right to health care, under any circumstance - this is the key mantra of Ekam.
Children requiring medical help need to be identified as soon as possible at home by the parents and outside (in the anganwadi centres/ schools/ sub - health centres/ through camps), and then they need to be assessed through a team of specialists to plan necessary interventions.
