Master Surya Prakash was born on 28-10-2010 to Mr. Senthilkumar and Ms. Sumitha. His father is working as a driver in a private concern for a monthly salary of Rs.11,000/-.

He has Complex congenital Heart Disease – Ebstein’s Anamoly and underwent Tricuspid Valve repair in the year 2014 and at present he has severe valve leak from the valve for which he needs urgent surgery (Redo surgery - Tricuspid valve fenestrated closure/ Atrial septectomy/ Right glenn shunt)

The estimate cost of the procedure would be Rs.5,00,000/- out of it Rs.1,00,000/- will be covered under Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Scheme.

Dr. Vasumathi – ophthalmologist to whom the parents were approached for seeking financial assistance referred the child to Ekam. Also she has contributed Rs.30,000/- for his treatment.

Dr. Neville Solomon who is treating also requested Ekam to arrange fund for the child’s treatment. Since he is in the critical situation he was admitted for surgery on 5/2/2017 and still the child is waiting for further contribution.

The baby was born on 9/5/2016 to Mr. Kannan & Jayenthi. He was diagnosed with High Anorectal Anomaly for which he has undergone colostomy procedure on 10/5/2016 for which the parents have spent Rs. 50,000 (approximately)

Again he was advised to undergo Colostomy closure surgery for which it was charged Rs.70,000/- (approximately)

Mr. Kannan the father of the child is working as a an attender in a private educational institute for a monthly salary of Rs. 6,000/- and he was not in the situation to spend for the child’s treatment. Mr. Anbarasan Zonal Manager - Ekam referred this child for seeking financial assistance for the treatment. Once the amount was arranged he will be admitted for surgery.

The estimate cost of the procedure would be Rs.70,000/- and this procedure will not be covered under Tamilnadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Scheme.

The father of the Child is working as a casual labour and his income is not sufficient to spend for the child’s treatment. Therefore we kindly request you to provide financial assistance to save the little child’s life.

Master Tushant was born on 4/5/2015 at Kaade Hospital Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore. He was diagnosed with Preterm with Chronic lung disease/ Severe pulmonary hypertension / Very severe community acquired pneumonia/ Supra ventricular tachycardia/ S/P tracheostomy.

On 21/8/2016 he was ventilated in Intensive care unit for a period of 1 month at Manipal Hospital and the approximate cost of the hospitalisation was Rs.6,00,000/-

Mr.Venkatesh & Mrs. Nandhini the parents of the child were working as a Teachers and their income is not sufficient to afford for the treatment. Even though they has already spent around Rs.10,00,000/- which was arranged through various sources. Seeing their family situation

Dr.Shivakumar from Manipal Hospital referred this child to Ekam for seeking financial assistance. Totally he was hospitalised for the period of 1 month and 1 week and on 28/9/2016 the child was discharged from the hospital and now he is recovering slowly.

Mr. Madhavan & Ms. Janaki is a plantain leaf seller, living in Arcot, Vellore. On 22/6/2016 she gave birth of twin babies at Government Hospital and both the children were diagnosed with Extreme preterm (27weeks) / respiratory distress/ Sepsis and immediately they were shifted to Kanchi Kamakotti Childs Trust Hospital and treated under on ventilator presented with oxygen IV fluids & IV antibiotics.
The babies was required 2 to 3 weeks of stay in the hospital and the total cost of hospitalisation was charged up to Rs.80,000/- (Approximately) for (twin A) and Rs.71,950/- (twin B)
Since they were from very poor background he was not in the situation to afford for both the children’s treatment. Seeing their family situation Dr.Raghul Yadav HOD Neonatology referred Twin B baby to Ekam for seeking financial assistance and Twin A to some other NGO.
On 8/8/2017 both the children were completely recovered and discharged as a normal child.

Master Mohamed Faraz was born on 3/5/2016 and diagnosed with VSD / Respiratory syncytial virus pneumonia, Acute Respiratory distress syndrome with congestive cardiac failure.

He was treated under Mechanical Ventilator for a period of 1 month at Kanchi kamakotti Child’s Trust Hospital since August 2016.

The expenditure for the stay was estimated around Rs.3,50,000/- excluding medications. The baby of the father is working as an A/C Mechanic and his income is not sufficient for the child’s treatment, even though he has spent almost Rs.3, 00,000/- which he was arranged through various sources.

Later they were not in the situation to afford for further treatment, by that time the child was referred by Ms.Ayesha to seek financial assistance from Ekam. So we approached Saradambal Neelamegam Charitable Trust to provide financial assistance for the child’s hospitalisation.

On 8/10/2016 the child was discharged from the hospital and now he is recovering slowly.

On 24/11/2016 we have utilized Rs.20,000/- to make payment for the child’s hospitalisation.

Child Abirami sree was born on 9/5/2013 to Mr. Rajasekaran and Sasikala. Her father is working as a tea master in a tea stall for a daily wage of Rs.300/- and making his daughter to study in a kinder garden.

During the month of July the child was unfortunately fallen sick and was unable to walk, immediately the parents rushed to a private clinic even though she could not recover. Later, on 16/7/2016 she was admitted in St. Isabel's Hospital, there she was diagnosed with Septic Arthritis Rt Hip for which she was advised to undergo Arthrotomy procedure and the cost of the procedure was charged Rs.1, 00,000/- (approximately)

Since her father was not in the situation to afford such an amount so he decided to shift the baby to the government hospital against medical advice. Seeing their family situation Dr. Premkumar who is a treating doctor referred the child to Ekam foundation to support for the child’s treatment. Later we arranged a sum of Rs.10,000/- which was received from a direct donor as a donation (Saradambal Neelamegam Charitable Trust) was paid towards the child’s hospitalisation. Now she has recovered completely and started living a healthy life.

Baby of Sapani 4 Months old female baby was born on 21/7/2016. She was diagnosed with Preterm (28 weeks)/ low birth weight/ Respiratory distress syndrome and was treated at Saveetha Medical College.

The baby was admitted in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and was on Ventilator later weaned to CPAP ventilation. The approximate expenditure for the treatment was Rs. 1,00,000/-
Mr. Budhram Jamuda and Sapani Jamuda the parents of the baby are the migrants from Jharkhand who were working as a casual labour in a building construction. Since they do not hold any insurance scheme they were in the situation to afford the whole amount. Seeing their family situation Mr. Saranraj, patient counsellor from Saveetha Medical College referred the baby to Ekam for seeking financial assistance.
The donation amount of Rs. 10,000/- which was received from Abhayam and the sum of Rs. 10,000/- from Shree Geeta Bhavan Trust was utilized to make payment for baby’s treatment.

On the baby was discharged from the hospital. Now she is living a normal and a healthy life.
